FAQ

  • How do I know if I need a new septic system?

You may need a new system if you're building a new home, expanding an existing one, or if your current system is failing—signs include frequent backups, foul odours, or soggy areas in your yard.

  • How long does installation take?

Most residential septic systems take 3 to 5 days to install, depending on site conditions and weather.

  • Do I need permits?

Yes, permits are usually required. Don’t worry—we’ll help handle all the paperwork and approvals.

  • How long does a septic system last?

With proper care, a septic system can last 30 years or more.

  • Do you offer pumping services?

We do not have pumping services, but we would definitely recommend some local pumping companies.

  • How much does a new system cost?

Costs vary depending on the size of the system, soil conditions, and layout. Basic Pipe and Trench systems for a 3-bedroom house could start at $20,000 and rise to $40,000 plus, for a Sand Mound system.

  • Why choose your company for septic installation?

Quality work and doing it right should be a requirement, not the exception. Septic systems are a major expense, and can be stressful.  At Bergs Excavation, our job is to make it as stress-free as possible. We do that by communicating clearly, showing up on time, and treating your property better than our own.
